"You have chosen to open: st"

Hello,

This happens to me very often while using Mozilla Firefox:

It pops up and says that I wanted to open "st." The only clue I can get from it is that it might have to do with internet ads? Also, I use Windows XP Pro SP2.

Any help would be great to get rid of the annoyance. =)

i get those too but i ignore it, if i still can't open the site, i try in IE, apparently its a new pop up window from a website which apparently firefox wont understand how to open

yea i ignore them too. i wonder then, is there a way to tell firefox to ignore all pop-ups from http://ad.yieldmanager.com?

suggested you open C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS and add:
127.0.0.1 ad.yieldmanager.com
to the list to make it stop trying to load the ads. you might have to uncheck 'read only' for the hosts file to be able to save over it

I think there's a blocked site list for firefox you could use but the hosts file should work as well.
