you connect a device to your computer like an mp3 player, and a little popup appears asking you what program you want to open it with such as windows media player and winamp. Well, I recently uninstalled a program, but it still shows up on that list.

When windows asks what to do, it shows wmp, winamp, and another option "organize media files in this device using Creative Media Explorer." I already uninstalled that program so when i click that option, i get an error.

Does anyone know how to remove that option from the list? Thanks.
 
if you right click the item that your trying to open and select "open with" and then choose the program that you would like the file to be opened with, and select always use this program, that should take care of that
 
that works, but i still would like to get rid of the program from the list since it doesnt exist anymore. Is there anything i can edit in the registry to make it go away?
