Your experience with Vista 64bit appreciated

Hi all,

I just ordered Vista 64bit, but after doing some reading in these forums, I think it might be better to go with the 32bit version instead. I've been using Ubuntu Linux 64bit until now, but have some steady web work and my laptop is a little on the slow side. I need Windows, so I'm wondering if 32bit software is supported on the 64 bit system.

I'd be running:
DreamWeaver MX
Photoshop CS2
Trend Micro PCcillin (I read it's supported)
Battlefield 2
and lots of other stuff....

On:
AMD64 4400+ X2
2Gigs DDR400
XFX 7800GT

I appreciate any tips you guys have, most of the discussions seem to be related to the 32bit, so I'm just wondering how many people have the 64bit and what their experience is like with it.

Thanks! Looks like everything is listed on there that I would use, and I *think* DreamWeaver will work as well. Guess I'll keep the 64bit and hope I like it. I'm such a big fan of Ubuntu it's hard to go back.

If you have a 64-Bit processor, do not buy the 32-bit version of Vista.

I've used both, and i've been able to use the same programs on both versions.

Agree
Just check your hardware for any driver issues
