Your opinion on these ISP?

I currently have the comcast triple play package but am fed up with the service (or lack-there-of). My internet connection goes out just about every day for several minutes. Sometimes multiple times a day. Comcast doesn't know why this is happening or what they can do to fix it, and it seems like they are not making any effort to resolve this problem.

Here's my question:

I want to change my internet service from Comcast to a different company. Right now I'm looking at RoadRunner , Cox, and possibly Verizon. What is your opinion on these companies? What's your opinion on a company that I didn't mention?

My household usually has 2-4 machines on the internet at any given time. We use the internet for online gaming, live-streaming videos, research, and uploading and watching YouTube videos. So I need an internet that can do all of this and still be fast.

Thanks for reading. Please help me out.

I'll rundown time warner for you, since it's the only service I've ever had:

One cool thing about them is there new customer specials. For me, I got the basic channels, the next 200 channels, the on-demand channels, and free showtime and tmc. For internet I got their 2nd fastest, which is 7mb dl. Forgot the upload. Both of these run me about 79 a month.

The downside is, that these are specials. The internet special lasts 6 months and the cable special lasts a year.

Internet never goes out, and if it does its because of my hardware, not them. If I can't fix it, they will send someone out who can. Free?? not sure.

If you get dvr, it's great. pausing tv is so convenient. and I've never had my cable go out, so that's good.

So, I like them so far. Carefully choose where you want your internet connected and cable, as additional connections are 30$ each. By that I mean having them run wires through the house. If you can do it yourself, that's fine too. you can have as many tvs as you want hooked up for the basic channels and its free. But for each cable box you get its 10 more a month.

So I'd recommend them. Their customer service is pretty good, and there overall service is just as well.

One thing about your internet, it probably is hardware. I would consider replacing your modem, or checking any cable splitters you might be using. If you have old wire, consider getting that replaced as well. If you are intent on switching service though don't do anything, as they will put in new cables for you anyway.
