your opinions on EVGA GeForce 7950

It is considered the best performing single slot card out. However it doesnt outperform other cards in every test, such as in half-life 2 where the x190xtx still wins.

one order coming out then ! :D :D ... wow 1gig ram is gona be awesome!
and i can just use the stepup programm to save some cash

Ram on gpu cards really doensn't effect performance as much as people think most of the time. Especially if you put it in a system running only like 1 or 2 gb of ram in the first place.

It makes a difference on high end cards while playing high end games. However getting a card such as the x1300 or 6200 with 512MB of RAM would be stupid.

Ya, but it 1gb of gpu ram is a little overkill, imaging sticking that in sli, 2gb of gpu ram is a little overkill, even 1gb is pushing it, I mean I have 1gb of ram in my computer and it runs fine, as will most systems, It will come into play later on but as of right now its not really worth it, but if you want sli graphics with nothing else, mobo, psu, etc, not sli then the gx2 is for you, i guess. I just want to get my 7800gt in sli, stupid xfx stopped making it

If you have two 1GB cards in SLI then you would still only have 1GB becuase it mirrors them, which i have recently relearned my self :)

in high end games video card ram DOSE matter, i have oblivion running and it has inbuilt utilities that shows the resources being used, after a while my it shows 400+ ram GPU ram use which is way over my current 256mg ram... then the game gets really laggy because of this one reason

1 GB gpu ram can add a lot for newer games that use a lot of texture memory

Just a question then, how does the gx2 have 1gb of ram then, if in sli it mirrors itself, all the gx2 is sli'd gpus that can go in one slot.

And people I never said that gpu ram doesn't make a difference, I just mean that shouldn't be the first thing you look at. Yes it does make a difference, its just sometimes people are too worried about it, like why the heck would you spend the money to get a 6200 with 512mb of ram, it won't help you out at all. Especially since now that is a low end card, and you can't play the games that would need the extra ram anyway.
