Your View on the DS

Yeah, Nintendo has a lot of good games, that's why I got the PSP, I got 1.5, so I can play Nintendo and Sony games. :D

I had 2.0 with the hack to be able to play homebrew. It was sweet, playing Super metroid and stuff. Then I got Syphon Filter, which forced me to update to 2.6:(

YOu can still use homebrew in 2.6 if you get an unpatched Grand Theft Auto, 1.5 is just easier, than you can downgrade to 1.5 and use Devhook to play it if you don't have one of the mobos with writing on it.

I really want to get a PSP. White most likely, it looks so sharp being white.
I'd get that GTA game, and get that code that some people posted on teh offcial t.A.T.u. site.
Hehe... being the girls, killing people and stealing things.
~*Goes off into thoughts.*~

Ya, I know I can do that, in fact I have the special save on my PSP, it's just much more of a pain in the ass to get to the menu. It was much easier to go to the pictures folder.

Yeah, I heard it's really good, I'm not going to get one for three reasons though.
1) it envolves opening the PSP.
2) It needs to be soldered
3) I don't need it (I've got 1.5 :D)

I found this out the other day. Those of you who have 2.71 can downgrade, google it to see what I'm talking about if you want, so you're not stuck with 2.71 if you wanted to play hombrew anymore, if you wanted 2.71 you can use Devhook, it's a good program that emulates 2.71 very closly.

I think PSPs just look alot cooler, er..sleeker than DS's clam shell design. Also the glossy black color looks great on a PSP :)

Upgrade the firmware on the PSP and it's quite hard to run homebrew.

Nope. An exploit working up to 2.8 was recently found. A homebrew loader is being developed as we speak. So all firmwares will have hb, and up to 2.71 can be downgraded to 1.5.

I lurve my psp. The games suck, but once you get mario kart and super smash bros running on an N64 emulator...well, you get the picture. :D
The PSP can do almost anything, with just the right homebrew.

I like the DS, its such a typical Nintendo invention,.. and thats what made nintendo big in the first place :)
i mean.. Sony's console's are good,.. but they are nothing actually new, i mean,,.. the PSP is just a upgraded version of the gamebow Advance.
nintendo tries new stuff all the time,.. and i really appriciate them doing that :o

DS > PSP

Cheaper, more games, better games. Only thing the PSP has is a higher price tag and a tiny selection of games, and even fewer are good. Just like Sony to think they are gods and overprice their systems. PSP is overpriced and so is the PS2 (should be selling for $75 new since its so old, nothing special and everyone has one) Cant also forget that is plays ALL GBA games as well, so the library is HUGE and LOADED with great games.

what do you guys/girls think are the best games for the ds?

I personally think that people usually choose games by attractive first sight -something really graphically appealing.

On the other hand, for games on the DS, i think you'd actually have to try to get the feel of it because of its touch screen.

How is it an updated version of the GBA? I just fail to see it... it's more of just an updated version of the PS2 controller with a screen and if you were talking about the looks. I guess it does look a bit like the GBA, but not much. I do love that almost no Nintendo system looks that much alike, I bet the PSP2 or w/e will lok almost exactly the same.
