Hi guys,

I have this constant issue whereby my laptop is unable to play YouTubes and other videos.

When I click on to a video it will hang and eventually play after a couple of minutes without sount.

I have been solving it by restarting the Video Audio within services.msc

It does fix it, but the next day the exact same problem persists.

I am running a Windows 10 PC with 16G RAM, and an NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 950M

How can I fix this frustrating problem?

Which browser are you using? Have you tried another browser?

I am using Vivaldi Browser.

But I have tried Opera, Mozilla and Chrome and get the same thing.

I also noticed that logging off and back in fixes it for a bit but after a couple of days the same thing happens.

I think it might be a Windows 10 issue.

And that would be my guess. With the forced updates, the probability of things breaking is exponential. Can you do a system restore before the time this occurred?

Yes I can. I have a couple of restore points I can fall back on.

I did a restore and it has fixed it. However, will need to download some things I lost.
