Z77X-UD3H Motherboard sleep problems/review

Hey!
I am making a choice between the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H and ASrock Z77 Extreme 4.

Currently I am leaning towards the ASrock simply because there are many reviews with the Gigabyte having sleep/frozen screen problems.

Is this true?

What should I chose?

What is this deal with the x16 and x8 if used dual PCI slots? I do not understand the differences, is it the amount of pins, or is it the speed? Will I be able to connect two video cards to either one of them?

Any other suggestions of motherboard in the under $200 price range?

Sleep generally to me is a feature best saved for notebooks, if you really want to save juice when your not using your machine, turn it off, and use a ssd for fast boot.

As said, sleep is better saved for notebooks. Even then hibernate is far better than sleep for saving energy (its what I use).

The Extreme 4 is a bad choice in my honest opinion. It is a very hit or miss board. You either get a great one, or it does not work at all. I know I have had many issues from mine (1 RMA and the replacement has had triple as many issues).
Get the Gigabyte if you need a board. Do not use sleep, just use on and off.
