I have a zalman cnps 9000 something I think on an lga 775 board cooling a q6600 and I cant for the life of me figure out geo to get the dann thing off. For one its huge.

Secondly it has screw holes that look hex shaped like Allen keys. But the board combo was a 2nd hand gift from a friend and he doesnt have a key.

Does anyone know what type or size of key I need from past memory of this type of cooler? Thanks.

Edit Sorry phone changed thread title from lga to kya thanks auto correct.

It could be Allen keys. I would get a few Allen wrenches out and try to get it out. But I'm willing to bet it's a star key, probably gonna need to go to a tool shop to get a tool for this. I would grab one of these, notice the shape of the tool.
