Last night I tried installing zone alarm to my computer. Both times when i tried installing, my computer crashed and a blue screen came up saying it was doing a physical memory dump? I tried disabling windows firewall first then installing it but it ended up with the same results. What can i do to install zone alarm w/o this problem? I also noticed my internet is running noticeably slower now. I'm assuming its because of the crash that occur recently. Any fixes?

I'll try avast. However my computer has been having some random reboots from time to time, most likely because of zone alaram. This is the error description Microsoft gave.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: d1
BCP1: 00000078
BCP2: 00000002
BCP3: 00000000
BCP4: 8C2AD1F2
OS Version: 6_0_6000
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini081807-02.dmp
C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-61667-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Local\Temp\WER41FE.tmp.version.txt

I don't know if that helps, but does anyone know how to stop my computer from its random reboots?

Use kaspersky. It is hands down the best internet security suite out there. It costs $70 but you get it all back in a factory rebate

Thanks for all the suggestions to alternative firewalls However I'm more interested in fixing the problem zone alarm left me first. So my current problems are:

1. Random reboots/crashes from time to time
2. Noticeably slower surfing on internet

any idea how to fix?
