Dude, there can be new members that can be a LOT more intelligent than you.
Cohen ain't, however. Or even if he is, he's not very
knowledgeable (that's the word, correct?).
The thing is, he does post good advice, if you look through all his posts you actually find heaps good, sensible responses. However, the problem is that you need to look for them good posts - most of his responses are canned instructions, occasionally irrelevant questions, one-word/sentence responses that usually have no relevance to the actual topic, or the kind of reply he gave just here. In Cohen's case, reinstalling worked, and he already said that, there's nothing wrong with that piece of advice, it may welll fix it for the OP. However, he already said that, it's that he replied to codeman's intructions again saying that reinstalling fixed it for him, as if it was the only possible solution, is the type of stuff members here are getting frustrated about. Or his first post in this thread - granted, those questions are relevant to the OP's question, there's no reason why he couldn't have told him that reinstalling could fix it for IE7 just then. He, again, posts good advice but the problem is that he's post whoring and all his useless posts overwhelm his good responses.
Just because you have experience doesn't mean you have more knowledge than other people. Let's put it this way, you're judging a book by it's cover.
No one here's judging a book by it's cover, several members and mods are getting extremely irritated b/c of Cohen and that's a well-known fact. I have nothing personal against him, though sometimes his posts do kinda get on my nerves, I have no real problem with his posting habits.
