I have had the same problem, reinstalled and it fixed it.

yea but just becuase you had that problem doesnt mean his is the same and reinstalling is the answer dont act like you know everything i was mearly suggesting help and you have to act like i'm wrong and you know the answer to everything. THis is the crap i'm getting sick of sorry i wont be responding to help on this thread anymore if cohen keeps pulling this crap

So? It fixed it for you, it may or may not fix it for him. The purpose of this board is to give advice; you gave yours, codeman gave his, neither is better or "proven to work". There's no reason to start making a point that your piece of advice would be somehow more useful/better/right...

Also, (no I'm not giving you a rap, take this as advice) if you think you might know the solution, you better post it first, so the OP has something to try at least, rather than just starting off with a bunch of questions. For example, in case of this thread, you could (=should) have replied with something like "If it's IE7 this might fix it blah blah" or "I had this happen to me, try blah blah...", not "What's your yadda yadda" and then post a possible working solution later.

Seriously, some people are getting really frustrated b/c of you... no offence, but have you seen what stuff other people post about you? You're quickly becoming less popular than PC eye...

Dude man... are you having your period?

He was just telling you his way worked too and should be considered before your method simply because his was a tad faster and not as much work.

no it really really gets annoying with his attidute ask around its starting to become a trend around here.. He knows everything and his way is the only way it comes up in a lot of threads he is in... people around here just simple stop replying to threads due to his arrogance its really annoying... I have been around a lot longer than him but thats ok he knows everything i forgot at 14 you become a computer genious and my 14 years of expirence mean nothing..

That makes you special because....? Dude, there can be new members that can be a LOT more intelligent than you. Just because you have experience doesn't mean you have more knowledge than other people. Let's put it this way, you're judging a book by it's cover.

P.S. I'm not trying to judge this particular incident.

So you think cohen knows what he's talking about?

Cohen ain't, however. Or even if he is, he's not very knowledgeable (that's the word, correct?).

The thing is, he does post good advice, if you look through all his posts you actually find heaps good, sensible responses. However, the problem is that you need to look for them good posts - most of his responses are canned instructions, occasionally irrelevant questions, one-word/sentence responses that usually have no relevance to the actual topic, or the kind of reply he gave just here. In Cohen's case, reinstalling worked, and he already said that, there's nothing wrong with that piece of advice, it may welll fix it for the OP. However, he already said that, it's that he replied to codeman's intructions again saying that reinstalling fixed it for him, as if it was the only possible solution, is the type of stuff members here are getting frustrated about. Or his first post in this thread - granted, those questions are relevant to the OP's question, there's no reason why he couldn't have told him that reinstalling could fix it for IE7 just then. He, again, posts good advice but the problem is that he's post whoring and all his useless posts overwhelm his good responses.

Just because you have experience doesn't mean you have more knowledge than other people. Let's put it this way, you're judging a book by it's cover.
No one here's judging a book by it's cover, several members and mods are getting extremely irritated b/c of Cohen and that's a well-known fact. I have nothing personal against him, though sometimes his posts do kinda get on my nerves, I have no real problem with his posting habits.
