Five Digit Model Numbers for Future Processors?

I noticed AMD is running out of four digit numbers for the Phenom (currently at 9950). Are future processors going to be labeled model numbers 10,000 and above?

From what I get, the first AM2+ 45nm. with a DDR2 memory controller phenoms at the end of this year will be a 20350 and a 20550. Then the first of next year the AM3 DDR2/3 memory controllers will start at the 20400 and 20600. There will be some 16000s that have no L3.

The Tri core will be in the 14000s and some 12000s with no L3

If there is no Level 3 Cache what will the Level 2 Cache size be with some of these chips?
L2 cache will remain the same (512KB per core), there's a possibility that it will be lowered to 128KB or 256KB for low-end CPUs (i.e. Semprons) to reduce manufacturing costs and possibly to make use of chips with partially defective L2 cache.

Great information, thanks.

If there is no Level 3 Cache what will the Level 2 Cache size be with some of these chips?

The regular 45nm. Phenom X4 will have a Deneb core with 512 for each core of L2 and 6mb of L3 to be shared.

The lower end Phenom X4 will have a Propus core with only 512 for each core with no L3. Going to replace what we call the Sempron now.

Great information StrangleHold. Thanks for posting.

Interesting how Level 1 Cache sizes will be getting larger in future processors. Level 1 Cache is only 64 kilobytes in my current processor.
