I noticed AMD is running out of four digit numbers for the Phenom (currently at 9950). Are future processors going to be labeled model numbers 10,000 and above?
20xxx
There will be some 16000s that have no L3.
The Tri core will be in the 14000s and some 12000s with no L3
L2 cache will remain the same (512KB per core), there's a possibility that it will be lowered to 128KB or 256KB for low-end CPUs (i.e. Semprons) to reduce manufacturing costs and possibly to make use of chips with partially defective L2 cache. If there is no Level 3 Cache what will the Level 2 Cache size be with some of these chips?
Great information, thanks.
