Looking for a new processor

At the moment my specs are as in my signature but I'll put them out here:

AMD ATHLON X2 64 4400 2.3GH/Z
3GB DDR2
NVIDIA 8600GT 256MB DDR3
160GB HDD

nothing else you need to know.

I'm thinking of getting the X2 64 6000:

the 3.0 one has 1gz more but I heard the black edition 1 (3.1) is better for gaming because of some features it has (forgot them)

I have the 3.1 ghz version that you are talking about and I love it

Shouldnt be a big diff compared to the diff one anyway

I too would choose the 89w 3.1GHz over the 125w 3.0GHz if you can, but look at your motherboard's CPU support list here. http://www.asrock.com/mb/cpu.asp?Model=ALiveNF6G-VSTA&s=AM2
The 3.0 is listed but the 3.1 isn't. Might want to check with ASRock before deciding on the 3.1 GHz option.

Well the 6400 3.2 is listed so the motherboard should be capable of running the 3.1GH/z processor.
