Well, I'm semi-new to the whole computer-modding world, and since I want games to actually work on my system, I'm looking for a more powerful video card. Is this a good video card? At this moment, I'm essentially trying to play Unreal Tournament 3, and my current video card just isn't cutting it. Would this be enough to play this game (and others like it), or is this overkill? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
By the way, I posted this question on Yahoo! Answers and got this as a reply:
Two things here:
1. Is his information correct?
2. Concerning the upgrade in power supply... do I really need that? I'll probably end up getting the 8800, so does it really need that much extra power?

If you're looking simply for a card that will run the game decently that will work. If you want to be able to play at high graphical settings you should get at least an 8800 or 9600 gt. Keep in mind that you may have to upgrade your power supply as well when you upgrade cards, especially if your computer was factory pre-built and it came with an integrated video card. Lastly, you may also want to look into upgrading your RAM since it's so cheap right now. That will also give you a performance boost, and not just for gaming.
Here's a card I would recommend; I use it in my own computer and it runs my games perfectly.
