You are pretty much just assembling parts in a case. There is just a few guidelines you need to follow, which aren't that complicated. Don't listen to these kids that want you to buy a processor so you can over clock it. Like you are going to even get into that? Maybe down the road but over clocking doesn't really improve real world performance, it only really improves benchmarking.

It can make a difference but it is little in many areas and zero increase in others.

I agree. OC'ing can also be dangerous to the processors health. the only time I did it was when I relly needed to cuz I was stuck with an AMD 4000, a 2.1GHz proc. otherwise, you will generally have to also buy a better heatsink, and depending on how much you "saved", you may not even have saved a penny (a good heatsink and fan costs and least $50). Another thing is that if you have a proc with stock speeds at 3.0GHz and a proc with stock speeds of 2.5GHz, OC the 3.5 to 3.0GHz, then the one with stocks will be better.

man maybe if i put a picture of a girl as my avatar ill get this many replies when i have questions :p

Get used to it. When I go out to the bars I typically have my female friends order the drinks, especially if they are looking sexy. They get attention faster than I would standing there with cash in hand. Unless the bartender is a woman, then it is fair game.

I build them because I know I can cut corners in certain areas to save money. I could care less about accessories or front panel access.

good point, thats another nice advantage of building your own computer, the fact that you can cut corners here and there and leave out crap that you dont need that might come with a prebuilt. It's like calling up the cable company and telling them that you only want this channel and that channel and that channel and not all these other crap channels.

I wouldnt rule out the idea of finding a case online. I haven't done any searching for cases in stores but I would imagine the selection online is much much greater. There are plenty of cases on newegg that have free shipping and I really don't think that the shipping on many others is enough to cancel out the online option. Me personally I just make sure that the case I buy has the features I am looking for, doesnt have the features I don't care for, has pretty good reviews or atleast I can live with the negative reviews, and isnt butt ugly.

In my experiences buying a case in person is better practice. You get to see it, the cost is about the same and you don't have to pay the $25 shipping fee. I almost bought a case online but with the shipping costs it was about the same. At least at a store I can return it with in the first 30 days if I don't like it or it is broken.

If you manage to find a "MicroCenter" in Florida, you're in good luck. Their prices are pretty nice, sometimes even cheaper than Newegg.com

I like amazon for the fact they use tons of sellers and can get you some pretty good deals.
You could always compare if you see one in the store look it up online and see the diffrence.

Haha cool you like it? Thanks adam! I haven't seen other colors though :/ If the flowers came in different colors that would be awesome. I would love to have grey flowers and a pearly white case. My style is clean and simple, sometimes flare (like the flowers) but it's hard to find something without it being cheesy.

FOUND MY CASE!! ....maybe. I'm gonna check it out in person first though. Bad side is that it doesn't come with a power supply :/ oh well. It's my style "sleek and classy"

Another thing. I have this desktop computer that I got for free from an office that was relocating. I wanted to play around with it a while ago and never did. I shouldn't put my new parts in there just to test them out right? I think i'm just gonna open it up, maybe disect it, see if i can put it back together. And learn kinda hands on now before i put the important stuff together. Sound like a good idear?? :)
