Alright, well I've been trying to build my first computer and it is horrible.
Anyway, I'm currently getting the message "boot failure, press any key to continue", absolutely no extra info anymore. Used to be when I'd boot up I'd get "Pxe-E61: Media test failure, check cable, Pxe-M0f: exiting pxe rom", but that went away after I disabled attempting to boot up from network and changing priority to cd drive then hdd, as well as unplugging comp, popping battery, and pulling/switching the jumper.
So yeah, my current problem is "boot failure" with no extra info
I'm not to sure what is crap info that doesn't matter and what does so I'll try to provide as much as possible
-Motherboard: Intel DG31PR G31
The bios recognizes my hard drive, cd drive, ram, fans, cpu.
I have disabled boot to network, and because I don't have a floppy disk I changed my "ZIP Emulation Type" to hard disk, not sure what it means though.
Oh and I'm trying to install windows vista using a disk if that matters
But anyway, please help if possible, this has been making me so furious for the past few days.
Oh yeah, sorry if this is in the wrong section, there was a few I was debating between
