Answers in Redboth are within my budget. what are the drawbacks of going dual core for now?
There would be no drawback with the Dual Core atm, but in the near future, more applications will be coded to make use of multiple cores.
and what are the positives of the more expensive cpu?
It has 2 more cores. lol Better for multitasking and calculation intensive apps.
how does this look? i like the idea of it being bundled together from the place i buy it from. just makes me feel better about it all working together.
just go i7 already:
i7-920 $229 from Fry's or Microcenter on sale
ASUS P6T - $167 open box from newegg.com (it goes for this much every now and then)
G.Skill 3x2GB RAM DDR3-1600 8-8-8-21 $95 shipped newegg.com
im willing to spend 600 bux for cpu, mobo and ram if i go i7. i would like sli if im spendin that much and id like atleast 6gb ram.
