D dcjcdc New Member May 27, 2009 #1 bought a used acer aspire 5000 laptop when you turn on computer , screen is blank...so nothing is loading on tried f8 nothing.... it came with no cd's was thinking of ordering a new hard drive for this..not sure if that would help thanks suggestions to get it going

Comp_Newb New Member May 27, 2009 #2 take it back or send it back to where you bought it. Or send it back to the manufacturer. It should have a warranty if it's new.

Geoff VIP Member May 27, 2009 #3 Turn the computer all the way off, unplug it, remove the battery, plug the laptop back into the wall only and power it on. Do you see anything at all on the screen like the POST test? Do you hear any beeps?
