Starting my Overclock on my CPU .. how r these voltages so far

Bleh with my multiplier settings at 2.40 and the voltage at +.2v prime95 got a error on core 3 within 5 seconds... so obvisouly this is wrong.. shall i go back to 2.00 and then bring the voltage back to normal and bring the timings to 4-4-4-12? when i do that i will need to increase voltage?

and yes i am using EVGA precision. So i should leave the shader and core clock and raise the memory clock.. how high u think i should go?

Hmm....yeah you can try it, I'd leave the voltage bumped though.

Well, I'd go right to 1100, see if it's stable, then maybe 1150, then 1200...etc.

Oh and I forgot yeah those temps are just fine, my gts250 runs in the low to mid-70's while game. Most GPU's can withstand up to 100c!

Will your CPU multiplier go to 10? Or is 9 the highest? I don't know much about the Q6600. If it will do 10, maybe you should run the FSB at like 340-350 and get than ram about 820-840 at 5-5-5-15.

nah 9 is the highest.. ok im gonna try changing the timings and bumping the voltage..

Hmm, guess your stuck. Well, overclocking your CPU more will increase the FSB so it will overclock your ram more.

hummm how serious is it tho that prime95 gets that error on 1 core.. ? is it serious enough to worry about or ?

also at 1150 mhz on memory i got tears on graphics then screen went black and had to restart.. so now i just back it up till im stable right

I don't really know, never had that error myself. I think the overclock on the GPU is going to mean more than the overclock on the ram right now. Plus you said you were going to try to overclock the CPU more right? More CPU overclock = more ram overclock.

I'd probably just run 1100 so it's 100% stable for sure. Even though my gts250 can run 1350 for a 3dmark test, I run it at 1300 on a normal basis.

What kind of 3dmark06 score does your rig pull? 10-12K? And how about now with the memory overclock another 100mhz?

ya i am gonna overclock my CPU a little more.. like to 3.5GHZ ... so not to much more... and with my GPU i went back down to 1120 and i run perfectly stable so i think im just gonna stay right there

my bench mark scores for my system on 3dmark06 are 14423... seems decent.. before i started overclocking anything on my system my scores were roughly 9300 ... so im not complaining

Yeah thats really good for just an 8800gt, your CPU is really boosting your score.
You should upgrade to a gtx 260 and you'd probably hit 20k.
