The 3200+ I found on ebay for about $70. Is that a normal price?
It would be a big performance jump but it would take a lot of work too, a $70 CPU that you can just stick in. To get a new board you're now looking at new RAM, CPU, possibly a video card (unless you got a board with integrated video), and you could even need a new PSU. The costs can add up in a hurry. If it gets on the internet and runs office most people are happy.My point was, save your money to get something better.
Any money you put into your current system, will be a waste
because you will not experience any great leaps in performance.
Btw, you could definitely see increased performance with a $200
combo over what you have now.
