Prolimatech Megahalems

:D I think I helped that happen! I chatted with some NewEgg rep through the NewEgg forum, and he said they would "consider it". I doubt I'm the first to have requested that, so I say I 'helped'.

Either out of stock, or they decided to stop carrying it(the ultra 120 extreme happened the same way, newegg carried it for a short time and then stopped).

SWEEET! :D

Only LGA socket support? :(

you can get a converter for AM2 and AM3 sockets

dead easy to use, just put the backplate on, screw the top on aswell, put the heatsink on, put the bar across, screw the bar down with 2 screws and you are done :) Used it on my friends AM3 system when I built it for him, he is on about overclocking it to atleast 4GHz (he has phenom II x4 965 BE)

oh and i dont see a fan how does it keep stuff soo cool?

You buy the fan seperately. Oddly enough, it comes with fan clips, but no fan. If you have enough airflow in your case already though, it will cool it just fine, not as well as a dedicated fan on there, but still well

Mainly because prolimatech knows people want different sorts of fans(quiet vs. high airflow, LED vs non, etc) on the heatsink, and therefore to keep costs down dont include one because many people would change it anyhow.

They also carry the amd retention bracket at newegg:

I'm probably going to get one of these soon.

It should be quite an improvement over my Noctua. :good:

I wouldnt totally count on it being a major improvement, maybe 2-3c at most if you use the fans from your noctua. A more worthy upgrade would be throwing some higher static pressure fans onto your noctua;) Here is a decent graph:
