I'm running an EVGA 9800 GTX+ and having trouble with a game install. How can I confirm that Direct X 9 installed on my PC.

Thanks

Go to start menu and go to run command and type dxdiag and press enter. A window should pop up and on the system tab on the bottom it says what version of DirectX you have. :)

Ok when you open your start menu where it says "search programs and files" type dxdiag and press enter. :)

I'm also using win7 and when i type it, it shows what version i'm running.

hahaha i've read your post before you edited it, yeah you are running DirectX 11. :) You should be good to go.

Right, so I can't run any Direct X 9 games?

I'm trying to run GRID - and I'm getting the error message that
the program can't start b/c d3dx9_41.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I've downloaded all of the 3 latest patches and I'm getting no game load.
