Northwood 0.13um Technology

Motherboard: AV49 (Socket 478)
VIA PT800 (VT8754) Chipset

hmm your system is quite dated and not realy very powerfull...its not realy going to play any current games very well at all even if you get a newer card its still going to be bottlenecked.

only 512mb of ram too :/

What is the full mobo name?...im pretty sure it will have an AGP slot and not pci-e.

You do know that if you put in a dedicated graphics card you might also have to replace the power supply to cope with the extra demand?

Personally,I wouldnt bother upgrading such an old system as your just wasting your money.

ye i just decided im not going to upgrade this pce of crap anymore just looking for a descent motherboard atm that is capable for running well. budget is 150$ for the graphics card and MObo together.

That's still limiting you too much. If you don't want to upgrade your CPU, then you're stuck on socket 478, which limits you to old, slow Pentium 4s. Also, if you don't upgrade your Power Supply, then you can't get a good video card. You're in a rather difficult situation. I'd like to know, though: how many GHz is your Pentium 4? If it's 3.2GHz or 3.4GHz, it may be doable. Then you could get a new socket 478 motherboard with a Pci-e slot, which would make it much cheaper to get a new video card. That's still not future-proofing much, though.

...im just stuck on looking for a nice video card that will help me run my games at full settings....my budget for the graphics card is 65$ i want something like as good as (POWERCOLOR PCS AX4670 1GBK3-PH Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit)
and is compatible with the Mobo i just linked u.

Are you sure those are the parts you want? Personally, I would go with these to pretty much match the price of the ones you listed:
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116348
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130234
or: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157173

Believe it or not, the 2.6Ghz CPU I listed will be faster than the 2.8GHz one you listed, even though they are both still dual core. Intel's processors almost always have a higher performance/GHz ratio than AMD's processors. If you don't believe me, check www.cpubenchmark.net You won't find the CPU I listed on their site, but you'll find a 2.5GHz version that pretty much matches the performance of the 2.8GHz one you found.

Id actualy recommend not going with that build....i personally think the Athlon 2 will be much better.
