I am having a problem getting some of my programs to run on windows 7 such as dx9 games, reliable utilites i have used in the past and some operations in XP not being available in 7. The situation i find myself in is a interesting one.
do I.
1. Dual Partition Seagate 1 TB 7200 rpm Hdd (split it with windows xp)
Or........
2. Formatt my old computers drive and install XP on that (exact same drive just half the size 500 gb)
Scenario 1.
If i choose to dual partition the 1 TB drive i may run into issues later down the track with programs/games these days because of how large they are getting. I have the program to dual partition the drive and resize the partition if need be this program being partition magic (provided it works on 7 lol)
Scenario 2.
From reports i have heard and seen more than one Hdd in your machine can slow your whole computer down. For this reason i am weary on putting a new OS on it (although the drive has always been in the machine since i got it almost 3 months ago for transferring old files to the new computer on windows 7)
Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.
