No you don't need sp2 installed... worst case is if you do need sp1 or 2 installed it will tell you after you start... but i am pretty sure you don't need to have them installed.
Won't make no diff. after a clean install goto www.update.microsoft.com and get the updates. You will need more. Security and critical updates mostly. You will have to do it anyway. ain't over until its over.
yes definitively, might as well install sp3 first though just for speed sake. and then go online and get the rest of the 80 updates that came out after sp3.![]()

I still would just slipstream it so you dont have to install it every time.
- Supported Operating Systems:Windows XP Home Edition;Windows XP Professional Edition;Windows XP Service Pack 1;Windows XP Service Pack 2
Service Pack 2 MUST be installed before Service Pack 3 is installed, otherwise SP3 won't install.
eh im pretty sure i installed sp3 on top of sp1... are you positive... reguardless of who is right it will tell you if you are missing a pre-req... ms is good about that.
It did tell me.....It said "Your trying to do to much at one time mister!!!!!"....
LOL is that a quote? That is when you went from XP (no sp) to Sp3?
