Hi. I'm in need of a new HD. I have a 1000GB (or 1 Terrabyte) Internal HD that came with my Comp. and it's being filled with space pretty quickly (FLACs, Games) and I have space for 1 HD inside. I have a basic PC...
Phenom II 945 Quad-Core
ATI Radeon HD 5450
8GB DDR3
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Power Supply 300W MAX
The drive I have is a...
Seagate
Barracuda 7200 .12
1000 Gbytes
Internal
Now, I know it's SATA from comparing online, but my question is...is it SATA or SATA II? How do I find out? The drive says "Serial" on it and a bunch of number and letters. Which SATA drives are compatible with my PC?
I am looking to buy a 2TB Internal HD from $50 to $200, the best bang I can get for a product that's going to last me and not die out. Also, is it worth getting a warranty? Could someone help me find a good deal on one?
PS: This PC is pretty new. I plan on filling this new HD as well. Is it worth getting a Backup External 3TB HD with a warranty in case the main ones die? If so, does anyone know any good deals on them as well? Price around ummmm $300 or so.
Please let me know if you need more info. or if I made any mistakes. Thank you.
