ATI 6950 is gonna be the more powerful card. But other people say a Nvidia 560ti is just about the same speed, smaller, cooler, and overclocks way better.

look at the 6950's and 560ti's, if anything there is a 6970/90 or 570/80/90 then those are better but i didn't look that far and i doubt it, and try for an asus/gigabyte/xfx/evga/pny/sapphire, then i think msi makes good cards but i know they aren't the best mobo makers so i will let someone else say yay or nay to them, also there is gigabyte that i think is good, along with powercolor being either so-so or low end.

.....You named almost every possible brand that anyone would possibly buy...
along with gigabyte twice.

Go ahead and throw galaxy, zotac, and palit in there and I think we are good to go.

In some games the 6950 beats the 560 ti, but in other games it's the other way around. There's really nothing in it, except for which is the best deal where you live.

GTX570, will belt the shit outta the rest.

at least i look at the links when i get sh*t wrong, and not just completely f up :p

and i left out palit and zotac aren't known to be that good brands, i think zotac was decent but no luck with any form of rebates was their main problem. and i think the second gigabyte was supposed to be galaxy.

i think you should just be quiet for a little bit.
If it's $300 in New Zealand, then it'll be cheaper in USD.

exactly, so if it's 300 usd then it's going to be more nzd, 300 usd converts to 390 nzd about, but since they star over 300 and plus they probably have higher costs there like the way australia does and other countries to, the 570 will be over 400 nzd most likely, fund one under and i'll be quiet, otherwise no.

The point is, naming nearly every brand, gives no help at all. That's information you can get from google in like 5 seconds.

The best card all around for under $400 is the gtx570.The best performance card under $400 is the gtx460 2win.

^ as I a said before, 3,000 useless posts. But hey, make a post about how we missed a point trying to help, but don't add anything to it.

The point is a GTX570 will smash a 460, a 6950 or whatever. Overclocked, it can match the 580. If that is too expensive, then get the 560Ti.

and hey, he can always just buy the card from an aussie website, and ship it over the ditch to NZ. Chances are it'll be cheaper than buying from an NZ website.
