Hello,
I have a Linksys 2.4 wireless router in my basement and the signal upstairs is not as great as I would like.
I heard that I can extend the signal using a access point.
I have a upstairs office that has a wired ethernet cable that is connected to the router in the basement. can I connect the access point to that up stairs office ethernet cable and configure it to be used to just extend the signal coming from my router in the basement?
If the answer is yes which I believe it will be can someone please tell me what has to be done or even better direct me to a page that has instructions.
Please when you give me answers, I know quite abit about computers and I understand networking but only basics so please don't talk too techie.......lol
Thanks in advance
