Hi I am trying to build a computer worth around £700, I want it to have an i5 sandybridge, i want this to be the best for gaming for the price i am paying, if anyone can help it would be appreciated

Right OK it's just a tad over budget, but this would be a very nice gaming rig:

CPU Core i5 2500K (you said you wanted Sandy Bridge) http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...ncorei3,i5andi71155socket/bx80623i52500k.html
Mobo Gigabyte Z77X-D3H http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...el1155z77chipsetmotherboards/ga-z77x-d3h.html
RAM 8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill RipJawsX 1600MHz http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...dr3-pc3-12800/1600mhz/f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl.html
HDD Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/harddrives-internal/sata500gbto1tb/wd1002faex.html
GPU MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...560tifermiseries/n560gtx-titwinfrozriioc.html
PSU Corsair TX 650 http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupplies/cmpsu-650txv2uk.html
Case Cooler Master Enforcer http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/cases/sgc-1000-kwn1.html
DVD Drive SATA Samsung DVD-R/W http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/opticaldrives/satadvdwriters/sh-s222bbbebe.html

Total comes to £728.90 including VAT.

To save money:
Get this HDD http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/harddrives-internal/sata500gbto1tb/wd10ezrx.html Caviar Green 1TB, save £15 there if you don't need the faster HDD.
Get this case http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/cases/cases/rc-912p-kkn1.html Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus, save a few pounds there.
Get this power supply http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupplies/cmpsu-600cxv2uk.html Corsair CX 600, save £15 there.

The case and PSU in the first build are better though, but they are more expensive.

How about that?

Do you already have a copy of Windows?

Which bits don't you like? You can spend less on the hard drive, power supply and case as I said, you'll save quite a bit there.

The GTX 560 Ti is a fantastic card! I've used that particular MSI Twin Frozr II one, maxxes out Microsoft Flight Simulator X at 1920x1080 on ultra settings at a good 60-70 FPS. A GTX 570 can be had for £200 though, see here http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...s/nvidiagtx570fermiseries/012-p3-1571-kr.html but to be honest, a 560 Ti would probably be all you need.

Maybe you can get the cheaper case and hard drive and then put more money into the graphics card? The Corsair Carbide 300R is also a great case, and cheap http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-063-CS it's £54.

yeah its decent for mid level games, but hes not going to get 60 FPS on BF3 on ultra or anything, need a couple of 580s for that.

I agree with you, but a couple of 580s are way out of his budget. A single 580 is over £300, so two is going to be £600, and his whole budget is £700. I think a 570 would be more than enough for him though. :)

im looking at playing all new games such as battlefield and also starwars plus manymore like sniperelite
What screen have you got? What resolution do you want to play these games at? What settings? Up your budget to £800 and you may be able to get a single GTX 580, and that would be a great card to get. 2500K shoudldn't bottleneck it, so don't worry about that.

The GTX 560 ti is one of the best cards available for its price-performance actually, I can play skyrim with absolute max settings and the high resuloution texture pack from steam without going much below 50 fps at the worst of times, perfectly playable.

For battlefield you'd need a better card for those higher settings but almost any other game it can deal with.
