Probably looking at a 27" monitor.
I'm pretty much stuck between two - 1080p@120Hz
Or 1440p@60Hz

For the 1440p I was considering the Korean ones for ~$300; but are these 'B' grade monitors any good? And warranty?

Would not touch those korean ones... way too cheap for a 1440. I'd either go for the 120hz 1080 or a real 1440, but that'd cost you a lot. I wish I could get one of those.

What is your system specs? CPU? Video card? RAM? It is important so that we can tell whether to getting 1080p or 1440p monitor.

if its going to be 27 inch, get a 1440 res, if its less, stick with 1080, just too much area for 1080 to look right on a 27 inch display imo

8 GB RAM @ 1333MHz

I've heard some things about the Korean monitors. Some not so good, but most good. I would say go for it.

After reading reviews, it actually seems ok... but that ebay page just looks sketchy to me. If it works good, hell I might consider getting one.

That is not true. 1080p would look good at 27" monitor also. I have blu ray via HDMI at home and it look nice than watching DVD.

He's not talking about videos hes talking about gaming. Also tv's and monitors are completely different. I agree with smile if OP is going 27" he should be looking at higher 1080.
