To buy a new Pc or upgrade?

Those are brand names. XFX is one of the best, but any will do just fine. Especially since you won't be overclocking (case won't have enough air to do that).

Then run the graphics tab of CPUz.
Yep that worked for me, said my GPU was a 5870 and not a "5800 Series". :) Should work for the OP too.

i notice when i searched up the gpu there were Asus Radeon 6850, XFX 6850 and so on... what does that mean and does it matter which one?
They're just different brands. ASUS and XFX make good cards, as do Sapphire.

Depends how much more the 7850 is. The 7850 is a newer card and it is faster than a 6950, but the 6950 is still a very strong performer. Either way will be a massive upgrade from what you currently have.

Consider this: A Radeon 7850, once OCed, can reach close to the levels of the GTX 580, and while using LESS power than a 6950.

yes ive heard somewhere along the line that the 6000 were a bit messy so the 7850 is kinda the 6950 replacement. So ive decided to go with the 7850 since im guessing with these upgrades this computer should run good for another 2-3 years.. around 260-300 is a reasonble price? (stuff here in aus 30-40 more than us)

Right, sorry haha... though parts there seems to be cheaper as well. Currently trying to bargain for an opened but never used HD7850 because it did not fit in his one. Kind of makes me worry, is there a chance it wont fit in mine?

Will the 7850 fit in your case? The best way to find out is to take a tape measure and measure how much room you have in your case for a graphics card - the card itself will be able 9-10" long. Don't think 7850s are any longer than 10".

Ok, just quickly measured it and it should fit comfortably. Now thats out of the way one last question is that i shouldnt worry about the compatibility should i?

Should all be good if you're getting a new power supply - you are getting a new PSU too, right?

Ok i need advice on manufacturers for the hd7850... is HIS good? because im tight on budget , its the cheapest on here in aus.

But would i have to purchase the turbo one? or should the normal one be all good?

and these rams http://ijk.com.au/branch/ijk/product_info.php?cPath=478_449&products_id=136949 , should be fine? adding on to the existing ones?

Yeh it is cheap but i want something good aswell, because if HIS or Saph. is cheap but shit compared to ASUS or XFX id prefer paying a little in that sense.

sorry if im asking a lot, i just wanna make sure im getting the right things.
