I still use my windows XP im a behind are new windows really better?
I am a gamer and kind a lazy to try new windows am i missing out?
I'd say more like Windows 7 > 8 > XP > Vista.Windows 8 > 7 > Vista > XP.
Well my gaming expierience is better on 8 than 7.Windows XP is 12 years old, it's extremely dated. Except for XP Pro x64, you are limiting yourself to 4GB of RAM and DirectX 9.
I'd say more like Windows 7 > 8 > XP > Vista.
Well I learned the new UI and I like it but I don't like that Aero is gone. :'(I think windows 8 is definitely better than 7, it's faster (my pc with a 7,200 rpm hdd boots up in 5-10 seconds) and has a lot of nice new features. It's only downside is that you have to get used to the new look. Its new look is actually one of the things people hate about it the most, but that's normal cause as we all know no-one likes changes until they get used to them![]()
Windows 8 is the fastes OS I ever used.Matters the specs of your rig, older Xp is fine. But if you have a never rig, windows 7 is the way to go, dx11, the 64bit version works good (unlike XP) so more ram. Id say windows 8 is a downgrade from XP and even windows 2000. Complete slow, touchscreen crappy modeled metro interface, freezes all the time, especially with an AMD duel core laptop my mom has.
...But I will still dual-boot XP for some of my older software and for transferring backed-up data from DVD+RW, which makes Win7 choke
Obviously you either didn't use Win8 or you did it wrong. Windows 8 has always felt fast and fluid for me.Matters the specs of your rig, older Xp is fine.
