So I picked up Crysis 3 when it came out, installed it and installed the latest drivers and made sure all the settings were maxed and once in the game the first thing I notice:
No displacement mapping, at all. Period. Everything is flat. Low resolution textures still plenty.
The displacement mapping was the main selling point of the game and even advertised in the Crysis 3 trailer, pixel accurate displacement mapping.
So hopefully they release a patch with this soon, as I saw some graphical glitches in the first scene as well with the water.
Other than that the game seems great, but I didnt pay $65 to see the same graphics as Crysis 2 which to me felt sub-par.
Im gonna try and find a number for Crytek and tell them that if I dont get what was promised to me in the advertisements then I am demanding my money back.
