Hello everyone,
I run Windows 7 on a laptop. On Tuesday my laptop downloaded the latest security patch from Microsoft, and it installed when I turned my laptop on Wednesday afternoon. Some hours later I tried to upgrade Samsung Kies for my Galaxy S3. During the installation an error came up about something going wrong with windows and I clicked ok.
Windows explorer proceeded to close followed by my computer gong to a BSOD, but I didn't copy the error before it shut down. I tried to use with windows repair menu from the boot menu, but it said it couldn't fix my computer and that I had a bad patch. Thanks Microsoft! I then found out that both my system image and my system backup didn't really work. So I went back to the boot menu and tried to boot into safe mode, but I got another BSOD. Well great. I tried the last known working configuration, but that didn't work either.
I'm stumped at this point. What can I do to fix my laptop without getting rid of my personal data guys?
