Computer malfunctioning.

My computer has been lagging pretty badly lately whenever I try to do anything, even as simple as opening up chrome, and the sides feel super warm. It seems to only do this when it gets hot outside(I live in washington). I thought it might be overheating so I got speed fan and here are the results. Microsoft security essentials says I have no viruses and this issue persists even after a full wipe of my computer. Its not my internet because all the other computers in the house are fine. I was thinking of buying a better fan or a new case if that would help, but im not sure

Here are my computer specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor 3.10 GHz
Memory: Patriot G Series ‘Sector 5’ Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
Motherboard: ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD
PS: CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 (CMPSU-500CX) 500W ATX12V v2.3 Active PFC
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Case: Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Your graphics card is probably overheating. 57 is what it should be at under load. Your CPU is pretty high too. Can you get some temps of when you're running a game?

Hmm for a graphics card 57 isn't too bad under load, but probably verging on the toasty side.

Take a can of compressed air and spray out any dust in your system to reduce your temperatures a bit.

I would start off by checking your RAM for errors with Memtest86 and see if you get any errors. Also check your hard drive with one of the programs mentioned here http://www.computerforum.com/211596-list-hard-drive-diagnostic-utilities-test-your-drive.html

Bad RAM and hard drive can be the cause for slowness.

Since it only happens when its hot out I cant get the temp while in games yet. I think I will get a fan, any recommendations, and how do I know if it will fit?

It's definitely the GPU if he's hitting 57 at idle. Read the post above my previous one.
