So you copied and pasted your pictures folder to the new drive? Now you have two picture folders, one older and one newer.I don't know how I accomplished this but I was able to switch my default hard drive. Now when I go to download something it is automatically going into the new hard drive instead of the old one. I right clicked "pictures" then copy and paste into the new hard drive. Now it is set so that it is automatic and I no longer have to transfer from one hard drive to the other one.

You should delete the copy on your old drive, there really isn't any reason to have it in both spots. You will end up getting confused and have some photos saved to the pictures folder on the old drive, and others saved on the new drive.
