IS this a good computer for Photoshop, video editing and minor games like cs go?

yeah would building my own really make a difference or can that computer easily handle these applications? , thanks for the quick reply

That will be absolutely fine for most things including Photoshop and video editing but man an i7 and a 370 for over $1,100. If you built it yourself this would be cheaper.

Can you find a machine with an i7 and an NVIDIA card? The GeForces have CUDA on them which some video and photo editing applications can take advantage of. When I went from an HD 5870 to a GeForce GTX 760 I was finally able to use CUDA with Premiere Pro and it helped to make my playback smoother and make my render/export times faster. What are you using for editing?

If you want a computer and you don't want to build it yourself, I urge you to go to Canada Computers or NCIX and have them build it for you. If you have no such store nearby, go to a local computer repair shop and have them build you a proper machine. You'll get much higher quality parts and a system tailored to you.

Having said that, yes, the computer you have linked would work perfectly for your needs, but you can do better for the money if you go to one of the above mentioned places.

If you buy pre-built, there are a few things you should know:

1) Don't buy an extended warranty from the shop. The computer comes with a manufacturer warranty and beyond that the parts inside have warranties as well.

2) ASUS, the brand you have chosen, has perhaps the worst warranty service in the industry. High quality out the door, low quality when you need help. If a part goes bad, the odds of ASUS fixing it for you without saying "It's your fault" "Pay us return shipping" are low. Even Acer, the budget skank of OEM computers, has better warranty service.

1 year warranty for everything without buying the extended warranty. For some people its worth it to buy it, others not.

Worth buying an extended MFG warranty, yes. An in-store warranty, no. The MFG extended warranty guarantees that work will be performed by the manufacturer, who is certain to have higher skill techs than the store. Many shops like Best buy are very hit and miss in the quality of techs they employ. Some Best Buys do wonderful work, some are deplorable.
