If you want a computer and you don't want to build it yourself, I urge you to go to Canada Computers or NCIX and have them build it for you. If you have no such store nearby, go to a local computer repair shop and have them build you a proper machine. You'll get much higher quality parts and a system tailored to you.
Having said that, yes, the computer you have linked would work perfectly for your needs, but you can do better for the money if you go to one of the above mentioned places.
If you buy pre-built, there are a few things you should know:
1) Don't buy an extended warranty from the shop. The computer comes with a manufacturer warranty and beyond that the parts inside have warranties as well.
2) ASUS, the brand you have chosen, has perhaps the worst warranty service in the industry. High quality out the door, low quality when you need help. If a part goes bad, the odds of ASUS fixing it for you without saying "It's your fault" "Pay us return shipping" are low. Even Acer, the budget skank of OEM computers, has better warranty service.
