I have a HP computer with all the bells and whistles that has windows 10 and I use for Graphic Arts. My wife had a laptop with Windows 7 which died. I nursed it until we decided I could have it and she got another. I crammed a 1 terabyte drive into it and using a free Linux zorin disk I formatted and installed it to take all the space. There are no end to free games. I have Libre Office and I wi-fi to my printer upstairs. I can run most Windows programs. You don't worry too much about viruses. I have 2 cooling fans underneath to cool it as soon as it turns on. A lot of people do not like the learning curve with the lingo. I can do much anything done with windows. If you have a spare pc taking up space, take the plunge.

Oh I made suggestion. I only use it downstairs as I usually am on Windows 10. I have something to offer these forums as I have some knowledge. Sorry if I upset anything for only having 2 post and wanting to chime as a way to introduce myself. I should have another way. I have been into computers since they were only dos.Writing loads of code to get a ball going across the screen . I taught myself and myself the ins and outs of running and fixing computers. I worked until retiring the day to day operations of computers in a company. My son went to college for math and computer science and landed a great job writing programs for medical firms I went to a community college for Graphic Design using the computer and worked a while at a web designers business. Glad to be in the group.

No problem, we tend to get a lot of spam so I wasn't sure ;)
