Nice, I got one of those a couple weeks ago for like $50. Seemed pretty tempted to throw it into more RAMI submitted a claim once on a class-action regarding RAM, I completely forgot about it and nearly 2 years later I got this thing in the mail that I was approved as part of the settlement and got a cheque for $20

This just adds to what I thought already. So many people have been buying 970s and I did my research and it's not even really any better, in some ways worse in fact, than my 770. In fact for the longest time the 970 and 770 were the same price. The only card that seems to be worth buying as an upgrade is a 1070, because statistically it's way better. The only advantage to the 970 was the extra vram (mine has 2gb), directx 12 ready which hasn't been put in use yet, and some kind of HDMI feature. Game performance wise it's not much better than my card.
Because it wasn't really an issue. Infact it was hardly an issue for anyone. People are just making it an issue because they wanted to.
