Need upgrade recommendations.

So I'm thinking about upgrading a bit in my Desktop including, Tower, Motherboard, and maybe CPU. I'm somewhat on a budget. Like I would like to find the cheapest of everything but I want some good quality stuff.
I'm looking for a Full Tower (I have a mid tower right now.) I want it to include decent fan cooling, and just an open space overall. I got pretty big hands and it's pretty annoying trying to maneuver cords and parts around in my desktop. Especially in a small mid tower. Do you recommend liquid cooling or fan cooling? Which is more affordable/worth it?
I need a decent Motherboard with plenty of outputs. At least 6 SATA ports and 4 RAM slots. I don't mind how many graphics card slots there are, I only have one anyways.
Now I would like to get a Core i7 since I only have a Core i5 right now...but is it even worth it? What Core i7 should I get if I do upgrade? Also, would I be able to transfer my Core i5 to a new Motherboard? If I keep it that is.
Is that enough info? Mind recommending some good parts? Thank you!

I think what you need to decide is what you want to do (ie. build full build, upgrade a few piece..etc) and then hit us with a budget for what you wanna do. Your kinda giving us conflicting things with cheap as possible and i7 cpu in same sentence.

Cool it with the hostility. Not everyone does computers as a career/passion so don't bite his head off for missing a few details. Definitely not a "troll" either, he's been around here several times before.

As @beers said we need a specific budget and what you currently have before making recommendations.

Damn people...Haha...I'm still pretty new to this stuff. Budget is about $500 - $600? (only if I'm getting the $300 Intel Core i7) I guess? I think that's a decent price range. Cheap with good quality, I just mean something you think is good with a reasonable price.
Specs:
CPU: Core i5-4690K
Graphics: MSI GTX 1070
MSI Motherboard. I honestly don't remember or know what my motherboard number is...and I can't figure out how to find it (does it really matter?) but it's basic and only has like 2 SATA ports and 2 RAM slots so it's not great and it's cheaply made.
Storage: 1TB HDD - 500GB SSD

8GB RAM (for this all I gotta do is find the same version.

Is that good enough? Also, I'm just wondering if you could remove the CPU Core and transfer it to the other motherboard if I don't get a Core i7. Which I'm wondering if I should just upgrade?

What games do you play? You could upgrade to an i7 but you probably won't get much benefit in games considering the cost. The 4690K is still a good gaming CPU and not out of date by any means. Is there anything in particular not performing as well as you'd like?

Open up command prompt and run dxdiag. Under system model it should tell you your motherboard.

If you already have an I5 then why are you wanting an outdated AMD setup? If you already have the 4690K and gtx 1070 you could just get a new socket 1150 motherboard or just get a sata addin card such as this so you can attach your storage.

Just an example though.

You probably need to get Z97 motherboard if you overclock.
If not, get yourself a PCIE to SATA add on card.

I don't see the need of upgrade CPU right now.

Ok well sorry people. I don't know what the difference is between some motherboards, they just looked nice and had everything I wanted. But yeah, just most of my games run decently at ultra but not good enough. It says the the GTX 1070 should be running Battlefield 1 at 90 fps most of the time on a 1080p monitor. It does...but it drops to 30 and 40 waaay too much. I noticed it was unusual. I also wanna upgrade my rig because I like just having it feel better and more reliable. More RAM will definitely up the fps and so should a Core, but ya seems like you guys think a Core i7 is pretty pointless, which makes sense. Also, I'm not buying this as soon as I get all the pieces together. I'm going to wait a little but I just wanna have an idea of what I'll be upgrading next.
New Motherboard, new Tower, and some more RAM. Maybe a new CPU.
I wanna play games like Battlefield 1, The Witcher 3, and Black Desert Online (which is a fun mmo game) All these games demand a TON and I like the ultra graphics with high fps.
So no matter what I am getting a new Tower and new Motherboard for more SATA ports instead of just buying individual ones that look messy. Oh and more RAM at least.

Also the reason I want a new Tower is so I can fix up some cords and stuff. Make it look nice and give it better airflow. Also, new fans. And a big fan for my CPU.

What you need to do is save money for what you want to do. Once you have that budget, we can help pick parts or piece out a new build, but just telling you random things here and there is pointless, computer parts change to much, and deals happen all the time - get the money together, and then we can help you better, and more accurately.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have the Core i5-4690K cpu currently? If so, I wouldn't bother updating the motherboard just to suit it - the Z97/socket 1150 is old now.. I should know..LOL

I'd be saving for a new Z270 setup with DDR4 ram and 6th or 7th gen Intel cpu.. (i5 is fine for most people)

You could sell the 4690K and get a new setup, I think its a waste to buy a new motherboard for socket 1150 at this point. You said you wanted to upgrade so I think it doesn't make sense to stay with the same socket you have now. Might as well throw the money into the new tech then old tech. Right?

So what you guys are saying is to completely get new stuff and forget the Core i5 4690K? I mean one of the main reasons I'm doing is this is for a new Tower (which I'm getting no matter what.) Was just wondering if you guys thought I should get anything else at the same time. Because I definitely want a motherboard with more SATA ports. And I'm gonna get 2 more RAM parts anyways.
