I am considering getting this Dell Laptop https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dell-Bla...500GB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-10-Home/49835462 for some programming and IT courses. I do not have much experience with programming and want to know if this would work with Java JDK, JGrasp, as well as Raptor and possibly Python. If not, what specifications should I look for in another laptop (cost is somewhat of an issue)?

There are a lot of good deals for refurbished, particularly through Walmart, but I'm not sure if they're trustworthy. The model you linked is a bit dated but will work for you if you have a small budget. But if you can find an E6520 you'd be better off with the newer model.
Yeah, ideally I would want the newer model. I noticed many of the refurbished prices fluctuate quite a bit, even for the same model, and some claim to be a Microsoft authorized refurbisher. Can anyone explain the price differences or if the cheaper ones would be more likely to have problems?

I see, as I expected. Another question, would it be worth the difference in price to get one with an i7 processor rather than an i5?
