I am going to use it for mostly gaming. What do you plan on using the computer for?
Any reason why you wouldn't just get the 7700 instead of the K? Cost difference between the two when you factor in the need for the cooler is around $70-$100 for the 200mhz boost clock and the 800mhz base frequency difference?
As for the motherboard, are you planning on buying ram that's rated higher than 2400mhz (i.e. running XMP in the bios)? If don't plan on doing that, the H270 should be sufficient for your needs.

Yes brand newAre you purchasing a new 7700/ 7700K?
Yes brand new
The i7-7700K is exactly two years old today. Of course hardware prices can differ, especially for older tech, but according to Intel the i7-9700K is about $20 more and much superior in every way (Cores and GHz)
Unless you find a really good deal on the 7700K, if you're buying brand new you should consider getting the latest. Even the i5-9600K, at about $100 less than the i7-9700K, should beat a i7-7700K in gaming performance.
They're still charging that?Agreed. The 7700K isn't worth the $350+.
