By the way, the 500GB MX500 SSD can be purchased for $54. I'd go with that over the $49 250GB.

Windows 10 was free for upgrade but I think it ended. Anyway, this is not an upgrade. A new built. I guess I have to budge $100 for the OS.

An NVMe SSD isn't really going to benefit you much, if at all, for your workloads and they're a little pricier.
Think it's 130 or even 150 now.

Don't have a link but they announced home will be going up to 130 "officially". Might be able to get it lower but that's going to be the MSRP for OEM home.

Yes, I've done it along with others here like Darren. Just have to tie the installation to your MS account first.
