I have a pc with this spec:

For some reason, my computer is freezing for about 4 seconds every time randomly.

This is happening more frequently when I am playing games like "League of legends", but also happens when I am watching youtube for example.

I have checked all my drivers, they are up to date.

Any idea why this is happening?

Possibly the harddrive is having some issues? How long has it been doing this? Any software or hardware added prior to the issue starting?

You should never let it get this far before getting it fixed. This could be software or hardware related.

Well, the first thing I recommend doing is download and run Ccleaner and Malwarebytes and check the system for malware.

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard Open program and then click on custom clean and then click on run cleaner See attached image

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/ Open program and then click on scan. See attached.

Quarantine whatever it finds.

If after that it still freezes up, then you should find out what brand of hard drive it has and download the correct diagnostic software for it and run it to test drive for errors. If you can give us the brand we can direct you to the correct diagnostic software. If you go into device manager and expand disk drives section, you'll see a model number. that will determine the brand. See attached.

Samsung magician for the SSD and seatools for windows for the seagate hdd.

Run the long extended test on the seagate drive.

The drives look good. The issue could be just about anything. Did you run Malwarebytes?

Good to know. I always run ccleaner and malwarebytes first on any machine I work on. If the pc is still having issues afterwards, then I start digging deeper. I've had my own computer repair business on the side for over 20 years now.

It could be many different things. I would suggest taking it in to a computer repair shop and have them figure it out.
