Im not trying to be mean, but just pointing something out, you are definitely the most strict moderator of them all.We need to make a sticky about this problem as it's VERY typcial. Search around the forums, you should find a good few other's who have had the same problem
I just got my new board, cpu, and memory. when I turn it on, almost nothing. the fans come on but that's about it. also, there's no beeps
I'm just being the "Hey, are you sure it's plugged in?" guy, but is that power supply a sure thing? Is it good?
And, as far a removing the RAM, seems to be a good call if your mobo has a set amount and you have exceeded it.
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.
dont be sorry for stating the obvious. The obvious, such as rewiring, RAM, bad hardware, is the majority of the problems.
yeah, i guess i should have listed the specs. it's been a long day.
mobo - gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2G
cpu - AMD Athlon 64 X2 (socket AM2)
ram - A Data DDR2 667 (2 sticks of 512MB)
Ok, I've established that the board IS good. How do I go about and elinate the CPU and Ram with what I've got?
