Your RAM runs at 400MHz, but it transfers data twice per clock cycle, making it effectively 800MHz.

No. DDR and DDR2 are exactly the same in their speeds versus ratings. DDR2-800 runs at 400MHz, and DDR2-400 runs at 200MHz.

well, doesnt your board support up to DDR2-667? check your BIOS for overclocking settings

Go into your BIOS and see if you can change it to DDR2800. If not, the only way to get it to DDR2 800 is to overclock the memory by raising the FSB (which will raise the HT and also the CPU speed)
