I am running win xp 2p2 and after a period of time my system develops an intermittent freeze / hang in windows.
Try to picture moving the mouse in a circle on the desktop, every circle i complete it would have hung twice for about 1/2 a second.
I first thought this was a mouse problem or drivers etc but then i noticed it isn't just my mouse pointer its everything.
If i play a film or listen to music and even when i close down the picture / audio cuts out / hangs.
I have the n since done a fresh windows install and still have the problem.
I don't think its my temps as at the mo they are cpu=39 / mob=27.
I since then updated my sound card drivers with no avail.
At the moment i can only guess it could be my hdd which is about to fail or my mother board / memory.
Any one come across something similar?
Regards
Gary
